Hi Jeff,

I recently attended a webinar about this project and got very excited as I am working on a new intranet platform to replace our current 'way too bulky, complicated and expensive' ECM platform. I have installed Drupal and Alfresco successfully and added the CMIS and CMIS Alfresco modules. My problem is where to go from here...I have found plenty of demos showing what can be done but no tutorials out there for the intermediate developers out there (like me). The available documentation is way over my head at this point, and I cannot find any simple 'getting started' documentation. Is there somewhere you could point me that could get me up and running? My colleagues are thrilled at the idea that more people in our (quite large) organization could maintain content without knowing HTML or touching the Drupal site, and far be it from me to let them down. This integration would take a dramatic load of document and web site maintenance off our small web team's plates but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment just getting set up. Any advice or links would be vastly appreciated!

Thanks!

Muy ineteresante, ya conoicía uno de los módulos alternativos pero creo que la integración mediante CMIS es bastante interesante apra su independencia del Gestor documental empleado.

@Manuel,

Yes, there is another Alfresco-related module for Drupal. The one you are linking to uses Alfresco's API directly. I believe it also uses Alfresco-specific node types on the Drupal side. Neither of those may be a limitation to you depending on what you are doing--I'm just pointing out a couple of the differences.

We thought it was important to use the CMIS interface because it opens up the option of connecting to more than one back-end with the same CMIS API.
